Research Study into Migraine Prevention

CPS Research has been helping patients by conducting clinical research studies since 1988. We are now studying a new investigational treatment that hopes to prevent migraines in patients who suffer from migraines.

This study involves taking the study treatment regularly to assess whether the treatment reduces the average number of migraine days experienced in a month. Are migraines affecting your life? We want to find out whether this treatment could help you, and others like you, enjoy life more.

By taking our short online survey, you can find out if you or your family member would be eligible to take part in this study.

Did you know that 1 in 7 people in the UK suffer from migraines?

From time off work or school to missing out on social plans, migraines can be debilitating and can have a big impact on life.

Migraines tend to run in families. If one parent has them, there's a 50% chance the child will too.

Migraine symptoms can vary from person to person. They can include nausea, vomiting and light / noise sensitivity.

Migraines can be triggered by stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, changes to eating habits or caffeine.

Migraines are typically characterised by pulsating headaches in one area that last from 4 - 72 hours.

Information about the Study

In this clinical study, we are investigating a preventative treatment for migraines for those who suffer from them.

Migraines can be debilitating and can lead to missing school/work, missing out on social plans and increased anxiety / stress. Can a new treatment help to reduce the number of migraines in a typical month?

The study treatment is in the final stages of testing and this study will involve taking the tablet regularly to research whether the treatment has an impact on reducing the number of migraines experienced.

If you or your family member regularly suffer from migraines or regularly experience headaches accompanied by symptoms like nausea & light/noise sensitivity, you could be eligible to take part in this important research.

This study involves regular visits to our clinic in Glasgow, over the course of the study. There will also be compensation for travel & inconvenience.
